I had originally booked a Pool Pavilion for an excellent deal, and when I checked in, I turned down an upgrade to a Garden Villa as the room wasn't ready yet. The hotel mentioned that I could switch at any time, so I took them up on that offer for my last night and I'm glad I did. The Garden Villa is just over 3800 sq.ft according to the hotel website, and is a huge step up from the Pool Pavilion.
As you walk through the double doors entering the villa, you look right out to the garden and private pool. To your right is is a full bathroom (though no tub), living room, dining room, complimentary minibar and full kitchen.
To the left of the entrance, theres a flight of stairs heading to the bedroom and master bathroom. The upper level alone is the same size as my Vancouver apartment 🙊
The bedroom is huge with an incredibly comfortable California King bed and soft luxurious linens. There's also a workspace just behind the bed with a safe and all the other basics.
The master bathroom was about the same size as the bedroom, and was fitted with his & her sinks, a large round soaker tub, balinese shower, and a Japanese TOTO toilet. All Ritz-Carlton Hotels use Asprey London Amenities, and in the Garden Villa they provide a larger size.
Adjacent to the bathroom was a large his & hers walk in closet and dressing room. Just outside the bedroom was another staircase leading up to the rooftop deck which was a wonderful place to sit end enjoy the stunning Bali sunset.
Now onto the main part of the Garden Villa, the stunning manicured gardens and private pool. When I was given the room tour, the butler mentioned that it's completely private and the gardeners are the only ones who come on the property. During my stay, I didn't see them at all.
From the garden, theres stairs that lead down to a larger communal garden thats shared by 5 villas. It didn't look like any of the other villas were occupied, so I had this space to myself. There's a large covered area where you can have a fire, and it's surrounded by a Koi Pond.
The hotel supplied fish food, so you could sit out there and feed the fish if you wish.
Each year, the hotel releases baby turtles out into the ocean. It just so happened that I was there at the right time, and was invited to the beach to see the little guys off. What an experience! #rcmemories
Overall, the experience was one I'll remember forever. I cannot recommend this property enough, and it is my home in Bali. They make every effort to make you comfortable and nothing is too much to ask. A big thank you to the ladies and gentlemen at the Ritz-Carlton Bali, and I hope to see you again soon!
Have you guys been to the Ritz-Carlton Bali? What did you think of it? Let me know in the comments down below :)
