Some of you may have heard the concept behind “The Master”. The truth is, I have sources all over the place, and know things I probably shouldn’t. I just got word from some very reliable sources that Trump Tower in Vancouver will be rebranded as a Four Seasons Hotel.
The Trump International Hotel & Tower Vancouver only just opened in February of 2017, and hasn’t been as popular as originally expected. Word on the street is that Trump Tower, located in the central business district of Downtown Vancouver will be rebranding itself as a Four Seasons Hotel within the next four months. The current Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver is the only Four Seasons property in the world still owned and operated by the original Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts company founded in Toronto, Canada in 1961.
The current location is attached to CF Pacific Center on West Georgia Street, although the lease expiring in January 2020 has not been renewed. Cadillac Fairview (the landlord) sued the hotel in 2015 claiming “among other things, certain public areas in the hotel had been neglected and had not been updated for over 40 years and the hotel’s guest rooms had been furnished and equipped with low-quality products and furnishings” adding the property is “below the ‘Four Seasons’ standards and inconsistent with the ‘Four Seasons’ brand and image,” and that it is “below the standard of a typical luxury hotel by comparison, among other things, first-class luxury hotels in Vancouver, including the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, Shangri-La Hotel, Fairmont Pacific Rim and Fairmont Waterfront.”
This is a change that would be beneficial for the Four Seasons brand, and the overall Vancouver luxury hotel scene, as the city currently only has three 5 star hotels. I will share more details as soon as they are made available to me.
The Master has more butt-in-seat First and Business Class miles than anyone we know, and has experienced more luxury in an airplane than most of us will in a lifetime. He knows the ins and outs of almost every airline frequent flyer and credit card program. He has enough points and miles to fly for the rest of his life in premium seats. He has stayed at some of the world’s best hotels, and doesn’t settle for anything less than 5 stars. He is the king of elite status and he knows things he isn't supposed to. That's why we call him The Master.
