Review: The Ritz-Carlton Istanbul

Review: The Ritz-Carlton Istanbul

While the Ritz-Carlton Istanbul doesn’t fully participate in the Marriott Bonvoy program, it’s still a solid hotel in an excellent location. The views and service were a bit disappointing, but the room itself was lovely and did have the premium feel you come to expect at a luxury property. I generally prefer St. Regis over Ritz-Carlton, but for this specific trip, the Ritz was the logical choice.

Review: The Ritz-Carlton Bali - Garden Villa

I had originally booked a Pool Pavilion for an excellent deal, and when I checked in, I turned down an upgrade to a Garden Villa as the room wasn't ready yet. The hotel mentioned that I could switch at any time, so I took them up on that offer for my last night and I'm glad I did. The Garden Villa is just over 3800 sq.ft according to the hotel website, and is a huge step up from the Pool Pavilion.

Review: The Ritz-Carlton Bali - The Club Lounge

Welcome back. In the last post, we went over the basics of the property and the pool pavilion. Today, we'll go over the club lounge, food offerings and overall experience.

As previously mentioned, my villa was conveniently located right by the club lounge. Each time I walked in, I was greeted by name and offered something to drink. The lounge attendant Ein went out of her way to provide a memorable experience and got to know me a bit.

Review: The Ritz-Carlton Bali - Pool Pavilion

From the moment I stepped out of the taxi at the lobby, I was addressed as "Mr. Ijaaz". How they knew who I was before I showed up, I have no clue - but I'm impressed. Having stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Bali last year in November, I knew I wanted to return. It just so happened that there were some fantastic deals available while I would be in Australia as part of my Aeroplan Mini RTW trip, so I decided to hop on a short flight to the beautiful Indonesian Island.
